Poured a small white long lasting head. Transparent light gold in appearance. A smoky sweet aroma. Slight smokiness in the taste but not unpleasant. Sweet and a bit yeasty. I enjoyed!

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2014 Draught at the Restaurant D’erlon in Reims, a great little stop that served me the best pizza I’ve had in years. Orange pour. Sweet and fruity nose, a little bit of fruit in the taste with slight bitterness and sweet malt. A good one. [2006.02.19: 3.6]

Re-rate, eight years later, this one in the States. Nose of pale/pils malt, lightly grainy but seemingly dry. Some very light lemon and vanilla undertones. A clear, slightly darker shade of golden with a frothy large bright white head. Taste lightly sweet, lemony citrus with strong and lightly tart white grape juice, very low bitterness underneath slight mineral characters, with rounded and delicious phenols, though they’re a bit suppressed. Medium body, only lightly crisp. Clean, refreshing if a bit too exuberant, and delicious. [2014.03.31: 3.6]

33 cl bottle. A decent appearance. White head quickly dissapates into a thin head with adequate lacing. Strong sour aroma. A sour/citrus taste. A solid consistency and nice texture. Not my favorite Belgian Blonde.

Clear Golden with a thick white head initially. Soiur and yeast aromas with some light spices. Very Tripel-like. Medium crisp body. Lightly sweet, fruity and finishing dry. Much like Leffe Blonds.

A sparkling beer, with a sweet apple taste. Strong yeast flavors start off pleasant, but can leave a subtle but mildly acrid aftertaste

Creamy white head. Clear golden color with quite a bit of carbonation in it, though you didn’t taste it. Aroma was strong for yeast and apple. Taste was strong on apple and yeast with a hint of caramel or toffee.

bottle brought over by alobar, pours a pure golden color with a huge white head that seems almost solid as it settled down to about a 1/4 layer. lots of apple and lots of yeast in the aroma. flavor has a lot of apple going on, with hints of caramel and yeast, and a very fine carbonation that makes for a very smooth easy drinking beer. nothing negative in the aftertaste, just more of the same apple sweetness and smooth flavors.

Medium, white, coarse head. Clear copper body. Faint aroma of licorice and apples. Deep, sourish taste of again apples with notes of licorice. Quite bitter. Dry, sweetish aftertaste. Complex, yet light and refreshing. Very good!

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2010 (May 2010) Fairly basic interpretation but I wouldn’t have expected much more. Flavours are driven with spice, corriander and leave quite a thick feeling on the palate. Good for the $$ (4 EuR at Carrefour)

(Dec 2006) Nice creamy snow white head early but settles quickly to leave a thin residual with good lacing. Very clear medium amber in colour. Text book correct nose with a decent lift of coriander. Palate is a slight let down as the flavours never really kick in. Malts and fruit notes are faint and perhaps slightly stale, despite the 6/06 UBD, but do improve as the beer warms up. This is the second so-so bottle I’ve had in the past 4 months.
