Ok, this is also nice, the the double. A smooth taste, with slighty hop notices and slight alcohol nihts. Floral greatness throughout. Not on par w/the double, but the dry apple finish is nice.

Abbey-light, brewed for the throngs of macro beer drinkers who are longing to make the switch to abbey style belgians? Actually pretty drinkable, sweet/ honey /malt and alcohol.

Grimbergen blond is a classical belgian beer comparable to the Leffe blond. It has a clear amber colour, quite dark for a blond beer, with a semi-long lasting head. Light bitter taste with strong fruity aromas. It has a respectable body with a rather oily texture, soft carbonation and a smooth finish. Perfect beer along strong french cheese or before a meal with peanuts or crisps.

The bottle poured a golden-amber clear liquid with a beautiful white creamy head. The head was long standing and left delicate lacing on the glass. The aroma was spicy with clove and pepper coming to the front while notes of delicate sweet fruit lingered in the background. I couldn’t wait to taste this one ... the appearance and aroma promised so much. The body was full with a smooth texture and medium carbonation. The flavor had an initial sweet, spicy tang to it. It matured in the middle to bring out a smooth malt character. The finish was long and warming with slight notes of pepper.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2006 (Bottled) Almost clear, golden color with a very small, but somewhat lacy head. Sweet, honey-lemony-malty, acidic aroma with wheaty banana esthers, and hints of yeast and alcohol. Fruity, sweetish, honey-malty flavor with some acidity and alcohol. Bears some resemblance to European strong lagers, but because of the (ale) yeast, it is clearly smoother. Medium-bodied, somewhat sweet-sugary, oily palate with foamy carbonation. A very basic and straightforward, filtered and sweetish blond. A bulk "abbey" blonde for the masses, but not overly sweet, and not that bad as such.

Golden colour, average lasting head. Fruity, sour-sweet flavour, no hints of alcohol. Pretty good, unfortunately expensive here in Poland, even compared to other imported beers.

Clear golden beer with a small white head and lacing. Faintly floral and yeasty aroma. Nice malty yeasty flavor. Fruity and a little spicy. Hops and a very light bitterness on the finish. Very nice blonde. Almost a triple flavor. Very enjoyable. $10.99 for a sixer.

11.2oz. bottle dated 07-01-05. Clear golden color with a thick white head. Sweet, malty aroma with some yeast and tropical fruits. Flavor was mildly sweet, but the aggressive carbonation kept it from being cloying. Yeasty, with some cloves and banana.

On tap. Pale golden, slightly hazy beer. Rich sweet aroma of honey, maple, toffee, marzipan, and a healthy dose of yeasty spice. Light candyish sweetness on the front of the palate, honey, malt, yeast, light dustiness and a bit of spice. Some apricot fruitiness. Not a terribly complex Belgian, but not bad.

Dark golden, good creamy head, lace. Yeasty, lemony aroma with banana sweetness. Medium-bodied, crisp mouthfeel. Sweetish banana flavor. Nice well-balanced blonde, good malt profile. (7/3/8/4/15 3.7)
Re-rated, bottled [02/2007)
Darkish golden color, small white head, some lace. Fruity, sweetish aroma with malty lager-like notes. Sweet and fruity malty with metallic flavor in the finish. Slightly sugary and alcoholic bitter aftertaste. (6/3/6/3/12 3.0)
