porterhouse (892), Alna, Maine, USA May 7, 2008 (330 ml bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/augusta/lou’s-beverage-barn/4790.htm target=blank>Lou’s Beverage Barn) Pours clear apricot-amber with one finger of slightly off-white head. Startlingly clear for a Belgian beer. Aroma is yeasty and sweet. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth and maybe a touch syrupy. Flavor is yeasty and moderately sweet, that’s about all there is to say. Maybe finishes a touch hot. Doesn’t really pull you in too many directions but decent enough I guess.
BoBoChamp (255), Gent, Belgium Jul 19, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink beer, clear, good head, not bad brew Bungalo22 (222), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Jul 17, 2008 Holy lacing and head on this one. It is now sitting on the table near me and I am getting the citrus aroma. The lacing is crazy though, very impressive and worth a high appearance grade. Very sweet, almost like drinking a lemon with sugar spread over it. I pick up a lot of orange and a slight wheat taste. I liked this a lot but could probably only have a couple before getting a turned stomach. I also pick up a slight tinny taste on the back of the palate. Also, as I go on a bit too sweet and fruity. Scauca (213), Lovere, Italy Jul 15, 2008 Clear golden with a creamy white cap. Sweet faint maltiness, metallic, with a metallic sour flavour. Tasteless. kiefdog (325), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 11, 2008 33cl from Kingdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a slightly hazy dark golden caramel color with a thick and frothy off-white head that settles slowly and provides heavy lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and fruity with notes of fresh flowers, spice, bread and yeast. Flavor is malt, bready, yeast, slightly sour ripe fruit and notes of malty sweetness like caramel and honey. Light to medium body with a quick, uninteresting finish. Overall, nice ale. azlondon (461), Greater London, England Jul 1, 2008 Appearance: Orangy golden. Quite a lot of white head.
Aroma: Lemon and some yeast. Flowery.
Taste: Quite dry. Some fruit and flowers. Hoppy. Lemony.
