Fruity/malty, decent balance fairly strong for a blonde ale.

small white head, transparant golden color, very fresh and a bit sweet taste with hints of fruit. Slightly bitter finish. A very well balanced Blonde, one of the best Blonde i tasted.

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2007 The aroma is quite pleasant on this one. The appearance is golden and see-through. The flavour is quite good. The palate is good, and overall this is a good ale, but for a Belgian ale disappointing. It was worth the $12 for a six pack to try it, but I would probably not get it again. It is available in Florida, but not in the backwards-lawed Alabama.

Thanks to beer handy for this one. Pours deep golden with a big, vivid-white head and tons of lace. Aroma of hopcit, malt, candi sugar, apricots. Tastes malty, with big hopcit, honeydew, candi sugar. Very smooth and fruity on the palate, with more hopcit at the finish. A very nice beer.

Pours a deep gold, with lively carbonation and half an inch of white foam. It keeps a ring and a thin layer of foam for the head, providing pretty decent lace. Sweet/tart aroma of fruit, grain, honey, and alcohol. Nice flavor - honeymalt, sweet fruitiness, light candi, a touch of cereal grain, and a bit of orangey citrus in the finish. Medium body, moderately light carbonation. The alcohol that I detected in the aroma is not to be found in flavor or mouthfeel. Good combination of flavors and balance - quite drinkable. In a way, it kinda reminds me of Kuhnhenn’s Simcoe Silly

Bottle. Pours to a nice golden straw colored body with a creamy dense white head. The aroma had apparent Saaz style hops and what I’d call a nice fruity silage. The flavor was also similar to the aroma. Nice balance and even though it was somewhat strange, I really liked it. A nice tart mouthfeel that finished crisp.

0,65 l bottle...Clear golden-amber body-small but delisicious lacing head. Aroma is fine with spicey vanilla, citruses and top fermentation-yeast-perfume. The taste is smooth with oily vanilla and fruity/raisins flavour, moderated carbontion, fine hop. In my dream i can brew like the belgian masters...

i think, like their dubbel, grimbergens blonde stands out from other abbey ales in that it isn’t a very big beer. It can be a let down if you let it be, but going expecting this of grimbergen, i think it is excellent. It may not hav a huge set of complex yeast flavors but it does have some nie fruit aromas and it finishes super clean and refreshing. would be a great session beer, how often do you hear that about a tripel

Fine blonde beer, fantastic aroma, sits well in the palate and great genuine blonde taste.
