3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 0.33 l. Dark red color. Medium white head. Not much lacing. In aroma dominate bananana, cherries and chocolate. Sweet body with taste of caramel and dark fruit. Maybe, there are, also, some earth notes. Overall: nice beer.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle (330 ml). Dark amber with a medium mostly lasting beige head and good lacing. Aroma is of dried raisins, light liquorice, caramel, chocolate and light vinous notes. Taste is mild and a lot less expressive than aroma (which isn’t that expressive either)... toffee, chocolate, spicy notes and light vinous notes. Medium body, but weak and watery. Moderate/medium carbonation. Bland finish. A bit herbal too. The aroma isn’t bad at all, but then it gets as boring as possible. The body is weak and there’s a clear lack of flavors. Not interesting.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
0.33l bottle poured in a its own chalice
A: Beautiful dark amber color with a nice creamy beige head which dissipates quickly leaving some nice lacings
S: Sweet. Toffee and caramel malts dominates. But also a dark fruits, spices and Belgium yeasts
T: Again caramel malts and spices. Sweet as a Belgium Dubbel should be with a light bitter end.
M: Creamy and dense with a medium carbonation
D: Good. I personally like the Belgium Dubbel style and Grimbergen represents it very well. I really recommend it

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Typical aromas of Belgian yeast. Easy flavor of berries but watery and not at all good. The aftertaste has a weak bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth of a weak moment. Not at a beer for me. Minus points from me. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Vinous and complex in the nose, strong fruity notes of cherries, raspberries and alcohol. Heavy sweetness which fits well with the dark red colour. The variation during the tasting period is only in intensity.

Moving in the diretion of a beer port. Same kind of raisiny sweetness but no where near as jammy. Very drinkable at 6.5% and nice smooth finish. Had on tap.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
11.2oz bottle. hijacked from Anndiesel. Unfiltered burgundy brown body. Respectable beige head. Medium to full bodied, very easy going. Doughy, fresh, enjoyable. Not as cloyingly thick and sugary as others in the style. Chocolate and amber malt tones. Very clean, refreshing. Better than I remembered.
