Sweet malty fruits in the aroma. A very nice looking brew - dark copper brown, huge light tan head, great lacing. Taste is malty sweet with chocolate, nuts and fruits; finish is mostly dry with some lingering fruit. Palate is a little too carbonated

Bottle - 25cl. Nice dark copper/ruby body topped with a lasting off-white foamy head. Average malty aroma with hints of brown sugar. Alcohol is relatively well hidden. Strong malty taste with notes of brown sugar, hops and fruits. Nice warming finish. Good, but lacks complexity.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle. Malty, sweet aroma, some milky chocolate and toffee to be found with lighter notes of orange, plum, vanilla and buttery pastry. Deep brownish red in color, mostly clear, with a fine, lasting, creamy khaki head. Flavor profile is sugary and fruity, some raisin, cocoa and tobacco before a finish which is lightly spicy, acidic, bitter and sour. Palate is a bit on the carbonated side for the style, body is medium-full. Doesn’t seem to measure up to a lot of other Belgian Dubbels, could benefit from a smoother and more complex profile.

Looked great with a mahogany/ amber color and a tan head that lasted all the way to the end/. Aroma was slight but pleasant. The flavor was somewhat thin and not very complex, but as it warmed it had a butter/ chocolate taste that was nice.

Bottle. Dark brown colour, OK tan head. Aroma seems sour, but I cannot trace it in the flavour. Sweet, malty warming, toffee/caramel flavour. Sweet aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark red/brown color with a small head. Malty aroma with a touch of alcohol. Sweet malt and slightly chocolate taste. I’ll definitely second the "brandy-like" claim from the commercial description. Quite nice!
