COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double has undergone two fermentations, which gives this ale a chocolatey, toffee taste with a warming brandy-like finish.

Draft. Brown pour with tan head. Light sweet tones, Belgian sugar, fruit and some spice aromas. Flavors are sweet, dark fruit, missing complexity of other dubbels.

Bought in some discount store in the North of England. Can’t remember where or what shop. Got home and found it was Carlsberg so a bit disappointed. However this is an ok beer, a bit too sweet but overall not bad

Clear dark brown with medium off-white head. Aroma is bitter with notes of yeast, citrus and caramel. Taste is sweet with notes of citrus, malt and dried fruit. Carbonation is soft.

single from the LCBO. Dark red/light brown but fairly clear colour. Surprised how muted the aroma is from this one. Caramel, esters, some yeast and florality. On the palate it proves lightly sweet and dried prunes and confit flavour. Meh. i’ve had moar better.

Not a bad beer overall but it is too sweet and cola-like to be very good. Aromas and flavors of chocolate, cherries, caramel, toffee and some grapes. Relatively thin body for the style. Easy to drink.

330 mL bottle. Amber brown pour (pretty dark for style) with a medium to short off-white head. malty aroma and taste, not overly complex but very well balanced.

Risins/grapes with toffee/chocolate in taste and aroma. Sweet but not too sweet. Not my style thats all.

Clear brown ale. Aroma: bread, fruit, caramel, same as taste - caramel, dark fruits and a bit of chocolate-alcohol. Easy drinkable, not so dangerous. Decent beer!

Not a super dark dubbel. Slight hints of chocolate and toffee are as advertised. Not an incredible beer but quite drinkable.
