Double has undergone two fermentations, which gives this ale a chocolatey, toffee taste with a warming brandy-like finish.

The aroma is very sweet of caramel, figs, nuts and cantaloupe. Pours dark amber with a thick beige head. Has a sweet taste of caramel, burnt sugar, some fresh fruits and a mild bitterness. A smooth mouthfeel.

Aroma clean, brown malts , some fruit. Earthy sides
Appearance : 4
Top: large cap, off-white.
Base: clear, brown.
Palate : mid bodied, clean easy going dubbel.
Taste: Mild, clean hinted with molasses, soil. Finishing with ripe plum and soft alcohol heat.
Other notes plain, easy going and straightforward.

bottle pour..dark brown color..wouldn’t really call this burgundy as specified on bottle...ample foamy head that dissipates...aroma is mainly figs..brown sugar..caramel molasses mixture..ok..mouthfeel is much of the same with a thin finish that lacks depth...alright..getting some of that chocalety..toffee character but very little of the warming finish..bit disappointing...
