The waitress said, this is a "Double Abbey" and so I said, "Is this a Belgian Dubbel or are you say it’s a double abbey, like it’s twice the abbey?" And she says, "Yeah, I think it’s like an Imperial Abbey or something...?"
There should be a TV show called "Waitresses describing craft beer say the darndest things." Maybe Bill Cosby could host it or something.
Nice example for a Belgian Dubbel albeit on the lighter and easy-going side.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2014 330 ml bottle at Cahilty Creek. Clear deep red copper, firm lasting beige head. Aroma is dark fruit, caramel, toffee. Fairly sweet caramel light roast malt taste, dark fruitiness, some earth and spice, glucose syrup makes it too cloying. Softer than average carbonation, medium bodied, lightly hopped. 33 cl bottle. Points beautiful dark amber with small head. Aroma and flavor is full of dried fruit, especially raisins, and some toffee/chocolate. Some bitterness in finish. A bit overly sweet for my liking, but a well composed brew nevertheless.
