33 cl. bottle@Phister, Vanløse in Grimbergen glass@approx 7 degrees C. Pours red brown with medium off white head with decent retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel malt. Taste sweet but with a sour note and alcoholi and caramel malt coming through.A wannabe Abbey Dubbel with color and other additvies, coming across too sweet and macro for my taste, but not unpleasant.

18-Jan-2016-Tap@Maria Eetcafé. Körper rötlich-dunkelbraun, beiger, feiner und stabiler Schaum.Aroma malzig, hefig, Geschmack Karamaell, Honig, Feige, Trockenpflaume. Es ist über die Jahrzehnte nicht besser geworden - aber immer noch ganz passabel. Mein erstes Grimbergen dubbel dürfte so 40 Jahre her sein ......

Bottle from Devonshire Arms, Cambridge. Mid- to dark brown with a splash of red. Chocolate malt, oatmeal and cinnamon toast. Sweet and alcoholic, with a chocolate caramel note. Just a bit of bitter/sour on the finish. A very decent beer, although it doesn’t get near the top Dubbels.

Mediocre. Mainly, it tastes like almost every industrial product: aggressive carbonation, iffy hops and malt pressence. Like Mahou but not being terrible.

Tap; pours clear amber with a beige head; aroma of dark fruits, caramel, and brown sugar with a hint of spice; taste is sweet with dark fruits, caramel, and sugar; finish has some light spice; would be better if it was not so sweet

F: almost no real, only off-white film with some bubbles. C: dark red to dark brownish, clear. A: malt, caramel, dried fruits, brown sugar, raisin, yeast, some dusty tones. T: very sweet, caramel malty, hint of red dark fruits, almost no hoppy bitterness, alcohol, medium body, average carbonated, a little oily, 0,33l bottle, standard dubbel not bad but nothing very special.
