Double has undergone two fermentations, which gives this ale a chocolatey, toffee taste with a warming brandy-like finish.

This dubble poured a dark Amber colour with a nice tan coloured head. Scents include wine, brown sugar, ripe fruit and the tiniest smell of vinegar. First swig had med/ high carbonation and flavours of brown sugar, alcohol and caramel. Finish was a bit boozy with nice rich malts lingering.

Not bad, and quite drinkable. But the taste is a bit unremarkable even for a double.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2015 From bottle. Pours dark red amber with an off white head, which quickly dissolves. Aroma of dark fruits, sugar and toffee. taste is sweet but light with very little bitterness. Very good balance, but it almost feels like it has been diluted.

Spina.

Rhombic (30) - SPAIN - AUG 10, 2015
Bottle. Pours dark red to brown, consistent tan to beige head, which unfortunately disappears rather quickly. The aromas are slightly fruity and toasted, dense. The predominant flavours are also fruity and caramel, not bitter. The body is medium and the texture is somewhat oily and very nice. The finish is not as great as expected, though. To be fair, it is a good beer but nothing to get overly excited about.
