imdownthepub (8470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2007
Bottled, filtered, 330ml at A ge Pannes, Schin op Geul, NL Limburg. Dark brown with cream head. Another I thought I had rated in the past, thank god for a PDA and a beer list. Sugary sweet dubbel without too much to overcome the sweetness. There is some malty fruitiness if you try and a touch of deep roasted malt, but I am beggining to struggle with the Belgian taste for sweetness.

Test vom 17.2.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,9,10,9,13,9 - 9,55

Lubiere (8239) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 1, 2008
A reddish brown ale with a thick creamy moka head. Nice caramel toffee aroma with orange peels notes. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt, orange peels and light hopping, treacle notes. Medium bodied. A classy dybbel. Bought at Supersol, Vall d’Hebron, 1.35 E. and tasted mid Nov. 2006.

hopscotch (8212) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 25, 2005
Bottle... Hazy, deep copper ale with a large, frothy, khaki head. Terrific, cumulus retention. The nose is slightly flemish and breadsy with a heapin’ helpin’ of pear and fig. Good balance in flavor. Lightly tangy with a touch of dark fruit and cocoa. A bit metallic. Medium-bodied and barely creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes funky and bone dry.

Bov (8158) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - NOV 6, 2001
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2005 dark ruby-brown colour, little chaotic foam but a nice lacing, toffee aroma, notes of malt and alcohol, sweet and meidum-bodied, a bit oily with a sugary and caramelish finish - an easy, low-quality dubbel

pivnizub (7977) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUN 13, 2005
Bottle: Dark amber coloured, thin but very long lasting off-white head; fruity (raisins) sweetish nose; sweet, fruity beginning, sweet flavour; quite thin bodied compared to it’s alcoholic strength; slightly bitter ending (chocolate); lacks complexity and character........
