Grimbergen Blanche is a true wheat beer in the most traditional sense. The pale yellow Blanche is cloudy, just as you would expect from a wheat beer. Notes of citrus and light carbonation add character to the creamy palate and make Blanche an excellent thirst quencher.

0,25L bottle, BB 05.2014. Aroma is intense fruits, sweetness, and spices. Pours hazy golden with decent white head. The head stays. Flavor feels little bit artificial: lemon sourness with some sweetness, yeast, rather watery. Finish is also sour with some sweetness. Overall: it looks good, but everything else is bad, I couldn’t even finish the 0,25L bottle.

Yellow, cloudy. Nice wheat & candy aroma. Slightly above average carbonation. Sweet smoked beer taste. Slightly creamy texture. Drinkable beer, yet something is off.

On tap. Cloudy yellow body, with an average white thick head that diminishes slowly, leaving a good lace. Weirdest aroma I’ve smelled so far, smelled like spicy dirt, not spicy and yeasty like that I expected. Almost no taste at all, caught some yeast, but overall, very watery. Thin body, good carbonation level, but very watery texture. That was really bad, definately not the thing I expected.

Yeasty sweet aromas come from this cloudy pale yellow beer with littke head. Is it a bavarian yeast? Taste sweet yeasty and nutty with a hint of bananas. Has a medium body and decent carb. Not bad overall.

This was served without me realising it until I got half way through the beer with a slice of lime in it (courtesy of a Parisien barman). This dominated the flavour, not an unpleasant beer, but I would like to try it again without the slice
