Brewed in Strasbourg for Alken-Maes, distribution unclear. Spiced.

Grimbergen Blanche is a true wheat beer in the most traditional sense. The pale yellow Blanche is cloudy, just as you would expect from a wheat beer. Notes of citrus and light carbonation add character to the creamy palate and make Blanche an excellent thirst quencher.

Lots of green banana, spices, coriander, fresh. Hazy yellow, thin and short head. Light body and feel. Fruity fresh with bit pepper and coriander. Easy to drink, fruity fresh. Liked this one. Good white.

Tap at L’ Agape Cafe, Serris, France.
Pours a whispy, cloudy yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is lime, citrusy coriander, and orange yeast. Flavor is melon yeast, springy fruit, and peach. Tingly mouthfeel. Refreshing.

Bottle at the hotel restaurant with my dinner of duck confit in Paris. Sounds more exotic than it really was. Pours a medium to light gold, nice head. Aroma is wheat and an almost lime note. Flavor is a close match - a good bit of coriander, and instead of the typical orange peel notes, something that comes off more like lime or bergamot. Refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. Liked this one.

Cloudy yellowy white with a thin head, sweet citrus aroma, tastes a lot like Hoegaarden but better.

On keg at 442 Bar Milano - hazy light straw colour with a thin white head. Citrus nose with notes of wheat, coriander, and clove. Body is somewhat thin with lively carbonation. Flavour is citrusy wheat with spicy coriander notes. Finishes mildly bitter. Very refreshing, great summer beer, ideal for a night outside in the heat.

I drank a bottle of this while watching the sunset behind the Eiffel Tower... good times. Hazy pale yellow beer with a thick white head. Very bright coriander aroma, bitter orange and lemony citrus. Also a nice spicy yeastiness behind the citrusy top notes. Flavour is lovely and sweet. Soft wheatiness with a more substantial breadiness than I would have expected. A lightly honeyed lingering sweetness backing up the spiciness. A bit of a surprise really.

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy yellow colour with a big white head. Has a good spicy aroma with plenty of citrus flavours. The taste is all coriander and citrus with a slight hint of orange. II really did like this.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2012 On tap, 6%, very pale yellow, slightly hazed, small white head. Explosive floral smell spreads from the glass, noticeable on distance. Aroma is pretty floral indeed, wheat malts, citrus, some sugar and yeast all along with spices. Taste is well balanced and clean, remaining sweetish. Finish is simple, dry and refreshing. Light bodied, sustained carbonation. A well done witbier, similar to others in the style but powered up. Appreciated.

33cl bottle. Hazy pale yellow, nice white head with great lacing onthe glass. Medium bodied, sticky.
