| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2010 12oz bottle from Orland Park Binny’s single rack. Pours dark reddish brown with thick light tan head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, dark fruits, chocolate and some malt. Flavors of sweet malts, chocolate, caramel, toffee, candied sugars and dark fruits. Mouthfeel is a little thin. Very drinkable brew but lack complexity and could use a bigger malt bill. Decent. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2009 A fan of abbey beers i enjoyed this. A fruity undertone was somewhat noticeable. Alcohol very hidden. An underlying sweetness that provided a nice contrast for the bitter flavor of the malts.
