COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a strong blonde beer, full of character with tertiary fermentation in the bottle yet still very accessible. Alc. 8% vol. Taste: The traditional Grimbergen recipe is enriched here trough the use of aromatic hops, which gives the beer its refined bitterness and hoppy character. The result is a refreshingly strong blonde beer.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2012 Very very yellow beer. Almost artificial. It lacks flavor and subtelty... Lacks a lot actually, just a bottle of fizzy alcOhol. From the Mitra on the Vismarkt in Groningen.

Not a very distinct Tripel style beer. Overall smooth, closer to Beligian ale style. Decent on the nose.

Golden color, big foam that remains for a while. Yeasty, sweet, bready taste, with a very balanced body. Not bad beer, but nor the best triple o ever had.

Clear orange golden, white fading head. Some sweetness, fruit and straw in the aroma. Taste is more bitter with some malty sweetness, hints of orange fruits, some yeast and some alcohol. Rather dry. A but better than their regular tripel.

Bottle, BBE 31.08.2013. Clear golden in color with foamy white head. Parfume, dishwasher mixed with notes of yeast and spices in aroma. That yeasty spicy tripel taste is definately there. Harsh. Pretty much of alcohol can be tasted in aftertaste. Not as good as other brews by Grimbergen I’ve tasted. Softens out with some more sweeter elements and gets slightly better as it gets warmer, but still not liking the booziness.

Golden indeed, clear with a thick head and active visible carbonation. The nose is hoppy and refreshing, not much else going on in there though with such a massive head not much of the aroma can escape... Also a hint of alcohol and later on subtle sugars. It’s solidly bitter with some alcohol in the mix and a touch of sugar that tempers some of the bitterness but not much. The aftertaste is mostly bitter with some malts; once it’s a little warmer it is smoother and less outspoken bitter. Definitely for fans of strong, rather bitter blondes - I’m not one of them so the rather low score is purely personal and not a reflection of any lack of merit of the beer itself...

Yellow coloured and hazy. Has a white head, medium duration. Malty aroma, floral noes too. Sweet flavor, some herbal/hoppy notes. Medium bitter finish. Creamy, dry texture.
