Pours brown color with small head. Aroma of ripe fruits, caramel malts and mild spices. The aroma reminds me of Fuller’s Vintage Ale. Flavor of caramel malts, ripe fruits and some toffee notes.

Bouteille de 330 ml dégustée chez Les Sœurs Grises (Montréal, QC). Arôme: Odeur de caramel avec une pointe d’épices et de petits fruits. Apparence: La couleur est brune. Présence d’un large col mousseux et d’une large dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’épices et de caramel avec une pointe de petits fruits. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement vineuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement fruité. (Rating #4174)

Nice copper hue and huge foamy head which quickly becomes freckled as it goes down. Slightly sweet, yeasty smell. Smooth taste; yeasty and fruity. Nice level of carbonation (not too much, not too little). The mouthfeel isn’t great and it gets a bit harder to drink as you progress. I far prefer other beers that are just as/more readily available. This is nice enough but kind of unremarkable.

(bottle) pours a clear orange-ruby colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of light balsamic vinegar, cherries, powdered sugar, herbal hops and light notes of butter. flavour is mostly the same, heavy caramel, with lots of sweetness, light notes of marshmallow, floral hops and a slightly tart finish. medium to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ ’t Waagstuk – (A) brown/red/amber with an off-white head – (S) very sweet, brown sugar, dark fruits, berries, touch going almost liqueur – (T) very sweet boozy, almost reminds me of liqueur, fermented fruits, liqueur cherries, malts, caramel, candy syrup, brown sugar, dark fruits (raisins), boozy, touch sour finish – (B) touch sticky – definitely meant to be fake “higher” class/ abbey beer where you can feel the strength of its 10% in a slightly tacky way, quite successful for what it is, nice

Ruby tinted brown, white head that quickly dissipates. Nose is yeast, bread, plums and raisins. Taste is malty with yeast overtones, sweetness and caramel. Aggressive malty sweetness and more caramel in the finish. Medium bodied, sparkly carbonation.
