dark amber colour, brownish head; aroma of dried fruits, some yeast and alcohol; taste is fully dominated by sweetness of brown sugar, dried fruits, malt (lot of malt) and honey - a bit barley wine-like feeling; not bad, but not as complex as a professional quadrupel

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany with large bubbly head. Aromas of brown sugar, wood, dust, and leather. Flavors of brown sugar, oak, and dried dark fruit.

Pours deep amber/brown with some beige head, diminishing. Aroma is of caramel, toffee, malt, sweetness. Taste is serious. Malt, caramel, toffee, fruits, sligth faint notes of hints of sourness. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Overall: Pretty good. A very enjoyable quad, nice alternative to classic rochefort, saint-bernardus and others (but less complex).

Reddish brown appearance, thick head, and medium body. Lots of caramel and dark roastiness. Some delicious bitterness blended in that accentuates the alcohol.

Pours in brown pale clear body with off-white tight head. Aromas include hops, malts, wet fur, paper.. Palate is soft oily slick, with flat carbonation and mouthfeel. Taste is sweet malts and medium short hops finish. Some wine fruity ABV over fermentation is present. Overall unbalanced tart base body with odd mix of sweet malts and some other components.

Color mogano scuro con schiuma beige abbondante. Sentori di uvetta, toffee e frutta sotto spirito; gusto dolce, vinoso, note fruttate e maltate con un finale leggermente più amarognolo. Corposa e liquorosa, abv un po’ invadente ma in ogni caso molto buona.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Drankgigant. Hazy red brown with a small off-white head. Very strong sweet herbal aroma. smelled it from a distance of half a meter. Medium bitter taste with hints of chocolate and molasses along with caramel en dried fruits. Bit of an odd taste actualy. I don’t really like it but can’t really explain why. It all tastes artificial and off-balance

Pours a small frothy off-white head that fully diminishes. Body is murky and red brown. Aroma contains caramel, leather, dough, grape, raisin, plum, pear, cassis, tawny port, toffee and spices. Flavor starts off light acidic and light sweet, to be followed byy sweetness and to finish in light bitter. Body is light with a bit watery texture and soft carbonation. Not extraordinary but enjoyable.
