33 cl bottle. Clear holden colour, light carbonation. Aroma: yeast, a little bit sour. Taste is sweet and Fruity in the beginning. Then a little hop bitterness. Medium long finish with light carbonation. Medium body Typical tripel, but not one of the best

33cl bottle at home. I had this beer at several occassions. Last year I was able to buy 9 cases at 3euro/case (because they changed the logo). So I have been drinking this one a lot for the last 1,5 years. My conclusion is that it is just getting better and better. Now the beer is almost 2 years old, it has been nicely kept dark etc. The flavours are just getting so good, better balanced, also in the flavour. A lot more fruits, yeast. This becomes a really nice triple, after for about 1,5 years (so a half year past it’s best before date). So don’t drink this one too young, let it age for a little!

Pours a lush golden colour under a creamy white head. Aromas typical of Abbey Tripels, a slight whiff of basement, Seville oranges, marmalade and funky malt. Flavours similar with good creamy mouthfeel, warming alcohol and enduring finish. A slightly puckering bitterness at the sides of the tongue and an odd urge to have another.

Yellow colour. Creamy white lasting head. Malt and heavy hops and yeast in nose. Citrus notes too. Good carbon, full body, creamy texture. Simply few sweet but more bitter flavour. Nice long and bitter aftertaste. B@H

Grimbergen is quite generic Abbey triple beer. Not bad, soft and malty, but maybe tastes a bit too alcoholic.
