Hazy golden coloured. Fruity aroma. Notes of yeast. Almost reminds me of a Hefe. Very fruity flavour and yeasty as well. Slightly bitter in the aftertaste. Nice beer.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2006 3 y.o. - hazy golden-orange colour with a little stable head leaving a nice lacing; aroma of bread and orange peal; lot of carbonation, full-bodied with a tart bitterness; long bitter orange-ish aftertaste with notes of old apples, warming alcohol, and spices - a solid tripel
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 16, 2011

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JorisPPattyn (6730) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 12, 2003
Yellow with amber shine. Creamy white head. Champenoise pearling, lacey. Nose with white sugar, grain, flowery, sugar syrup. Syrupy taste, scorched sugar with bitterish-metallic tang. Maize or corn-syrup? Very obvious carbonation, with sourish CO2-character. Medium-bodied. One of the lesser tripels. The metallic, schorched taste is unforgivable. Do they WANT a bad name?
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 maeib (6637) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2005
Bottled. A hazy amber coloured beer with a big white head and reasonable lacing. The aroma has massive fruit and spicy hops. There is some banana and toffee notes also. The taste is sweet with more banoffee; spices, strawberry yoghurt, alcohol and yeast. Shows more characteristics of a Belgian Strong than a tripel IMO. Tasty and strong.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 3fourths (6407) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 3, 2004
Clear yellow with a quiet white head. Subtle nose of wheat, lemon peel and sour corn. Palate is a good bubbly alcohol bite, and the flavor is a mild (for 9%) semi-thick lemon and honey. A good tripel, but not outstanding.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 23, 2005
The Lure: Luscious grapefruit candy floating in a bowl of honey, adorned with a proud bobbing foam.
The Festivities: Woody, citrusy hoppiness happily converses with the coriander and sweet honey cough drops. Comfortable carbonation sets the stage for a well-presented, subtle yeast touch in the back of the elegant aforementioned flavor panorama.
Transcendence: The floor is bouncing from the happy drunkenness of all above, jumping to an unpretentious rhythm of colour and plain old fun.
