3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
33 cl bottle. A little colder than room temperature. Nice aroma of floral herbs, spicey, slightly metalic. Golden color. Huge rocky head, a lot bigger that the Dubble, although I used a tulip glass for this one. Head fades. Sweet spicey, candi sugar, yeasty herbal taste with some alcohol warmth. Lively carbonation. Very nice Triple IMO. I have always liked this beer. Thanks Grimbergen!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice clear golden triple. Small white head and moderate carbonation. Body is slightly thin. Flavor is mostly sweet malts and yeast with some spicy fruityness added. Alcohol is clearly present but does not make it boozy. Not a remarkable triple but well done and eady to drink.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2014 0.33l bottle poured in a its own chalice
A: Nice cloudy yellow-gold color with a huge fluffy white head. Great retention. It disappears leaving a lot of lacings
S: Sweet. Strong dark fruits smell. Grapes and plums are evident. Also malts, cloves, honey and the traditional Belgium yeasts. Alcohol can be felt in the end (Reminds a liquor made of apricots or plums)
T: Again grapes and plums. Sweet as a good Belgium Triple should be with a nice bitter end. Reminds me a Strong Ale like Duvel but more molasses and spicy
M: Creamy full body with a high carbonation
D: Good. Delicious Triple. Recommended

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted in its regular form and in the limited 75 cl-edition with cork which was marketed as Grimbergen Speciale Tripel / Spéciale Triple 2005 Limited Edition, which was the same beer. Creamy, yellowish white, sticky head, colour orange blonde, clear. Fruity aroma, apple, pineapple, orange, caramel, corn, iron, honey, vanilla, hay, sweet white wine. Sweet orangey and honeyish basic taste, smooth, artificial, light grassy hops in the finish but not nearly enough to balance out the cloying sweetness and alcoholic too, with a somewhat wry effect. Too sweet and too bland.
