2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/2020 Oct 2012: beautiful sunny day in the Dutch tourist town of Valkenburg. We sat on some random bar terrace and the beer menu had this on it.
33cl Bottle, best before the end of July 2013: poured into a Grimbergen chalice.
Good clean golden looks: full white crown at first, soon a wisp and collar.
Floral hop nose with mild fruit hints and some yeast esters.
The taste is an OK blend of those floral hops and some hidden malt semi-sweetness. The alcohol and yeast also play a part in ensuring this is one of brand Grimbergen’s better beers.
Body depth isn’t too deep, but it does fine if you consider this as a light bodied Triple. Just above Mr Average.

Nothing crazy at all and similar quality to the Brune. Nice full bodied wheat flavor with light spiced notes and mild zesty citrus fruits. Nothing too intense nor too bloody boozy.

lovely tripel, lots of citrus, yeast, fresh malts, some spices.... sweet and bitter, medium bodied, pretty carby.. quite long yeasty finish

Pours pale golden, medium foam, light lacing.
On nose - mild malty sweet, a minimal robust, spicy, and far away hoppy.
Taste - sweetish and light bitter from hopping. Palate - seems very thick, syrupy texture, certainly close to full body, light spicy bite on tongue, average carbonation and it comes too sweet in the finish to be great beer. But price/performance is indeed acceptable.

33cl bottle at home. Slightly aged sample (1year and 6 months or something).
Appearance: clear blonde beer, white small stable head.
Nose: yeasty, oranges, little wood.
Taste: yeast, little oxidated, still fruity though, but it’s already over the top for me.

A nice and goos triple. Fresh and light, especially for a triple. Color is very nice. Would recommend

Pours yellow with a large white head. Aroma is malt and fruity yeast. Flavour is malt, sweet and fruity yeast.

Bright, yellow beer with a with foamy top. Sweet aroma with a touch of alcohol. Also a sweet taste, which goes into a subtile, none-bitter aftertaste.
Helder, geelkleurig bier met een witte kraag. Zoetig aroma met een toets van alcohol. Eveneens een zoete smaak, die overgaat in een subtiele, niet bittere nasmaak.

Bottle @ la becasse. Non l’ho ordinata, solo assaggiata da un amico, ma mi sono segnato 2 appunti. Profumo alcolico, fruttato tenue (coperto dall’alcool) e dolciastro di vaniglia. Rispetto alla blonde che avevo assaggiato tempo prima ha più carattere, un bel colore ambrato ( l’apparenza è la sua migliore qualità) e una schiuma soffice e vaporosa. Il gusto è caldo alcolico, dolce (tipo insaporitore industriale alla vaniglia) ma di corpo quasi acquoso, che per una tripel è un po’ una bestemmia. Credo che un bicchiere mi avrebbe annoiato, ma per un assaggio la sufficienza gliela do a malincuore.

Light aroma, but slightly stronger taste. Pours with thick, fluffy head, as expected for the style. Butterscotch, mildly sweet aromas, taste is buttery, caramel. Sweet lingering aftertaste. pretty good for the style.

Decent triple style beer. Alcohol is strongly noticeable. Beer meets expectations. The only thing missing is the sedimentation.
