From Uvinum. In La Trappe chalice. Watching Vikings 4x04. Stickily sugary. Great in nose but the sugar is a bit more than desiderable in mouth, not excessively but more than I like. Watery texture but compesated with a warming feeling

Clear dark brown body, small tan head. Little bit of biscuit, chocolate cake, something like Kasteel Barista, but much milder. Alcohol is noticeable. Lively carbonation, thin to medium body. Okay i guess. //bottle from BeerShop

Actually seemingly brewed at Alken Maes, but who knows. Bottle at Magic Beer Room, Zagreb. Reddish body, small off white head. Sweetish perfumey aroma, fresh, peachy. Taste.... peachy, nicely malty, medium carbonation, light banana, dust, sweetish malty/caramelly (prsne karamele) background. Not bad at all for a macro.

33cl draft from tap at Vooruit, Ghent (19 I 2016). What a classic winter beer this is. The caramel, candy and artificial dextrose flavours already welcome the taster. The looks are pretty fine, with a reddish brown coloured brew and a beige head - although the foam is not long lasting.Teh taste is medium sweet (almost heavy to be honest), with some pleasant malts too. The beer has a medium carbonation, and a lack of true bitterness. A pitty. The trump cards are the banana, caramel sweetness. One could also hint the herbs and spices notes. This is pretty spirit-like warming for a 6.5% ABV ale.

Zoet bitter donker bier met een zeer bruisend karakter. Een zachte karamelsmaak geeft een zachte einde aan het bier. Het ziet er goed uit, maar blijft voor de drinkers die graag donker boer drinken.

33cl bottle into a ’Chimay’ badged chalice at home on 20th Dec 2015. Beige head on the deep brown bodied beer, a red hue to the colouring when held to the light. Malts and red berries in the aroma and taste, fairly sweet flavour with some herb like notes within the brew to give it a seasonal warmth.

33cl bottle at our holiday home at Ameland. Clear dark amber with small white soapy head which disappeared pretty quick. Medium sweetness with subtle herbal bitterness. Caramel, malts, brown sugar, herbs and spices. Mediocre herbal sweet brew.
