3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour on tap at the CO rare beer tasting 2012, dark reddish brown pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, dark fruits, hints of spice, slight bourbon but pretty faint, touch of oak, slight funky note as well. Taste was a nice mix of caramel, earth, some bourbon, vanilla notes, hints of some dark caramelized sugars and dark fruits, finishing fairly sweet, slightly bitter, had a slight funky tart note at the end as well.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep amber brown. Aroma as some funk, faint hint of woody bourbon. Flavor is much the same and dry. Medium mouthfeel with some fizzy carbonation. Overall, what ever hints of a wee heavy it may have had are now gone but I still dig this brew.

Nice dark copper color. Little to no head on the pour. At the taproom.
Slight raisin and caramel notes. Vanilla flavor evident. Rich malty flavor. Sweet and mild alcohol taste on the finish. Very drinkable, and warms from the inside. Good winter beer on a Saturday afternoon :-)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rackhouse Colorado Rare Beer Tasting. Pours a bit hazy amber appearance with a tan head. Kind of funky, tart, light berry, mild bourbon, oaky nose. Light caramel, slight whiskey flavor with a pleasant albeit kind of oddly placed tart fruitiness. I guess this was spiked with Brett which is a bit strange, but I did enjoy it.
