Wonderful beer. One of my personal favorites. I would highly recommend anyone to at least give this a fair try.

A dry, crisp and medium-bodied Dunkel with nice roasted malt notes. It tastes particularly clean and "well-made", which I find difficult to describe.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2011 Tap @ Old Chicago Old Town Foco. Dark orange-brown appearance with an off white head. Quite toasty, caramel malty, mild nutty, light mild hoppy nose. Really a delicious toasty, caramel flavor with some of the nutty, bitter elements more on the finish. Well balanced and the beer is very malty, yet not too sweet. Very drinkable, delicious beer.

Tap @ brewery. Nutty brownish copper with a light chocolatey and a walnut/pecan nutty aroma. Big taste of lightly roaste cereal malts, light nuttiness, with some wheat bread dough under light toffee. Fiished sweet with more wheat tones on the aftertaste. Nice and roasty, almost chocolaty flavor...almost. A wonderful dunkel.

Sample from a bottle at Natifest. Good thin khaki head. Mostly clear red / brown color. Nice toasty malt aroma. Great, long aftertaste. Nice spicy hops. Good moderate bitter taste, savory, and salty. Awesome dunkel.

picked up bottle at local liquor storeTasted bottle. Poured a reddish brown. It had the aroma of caramel, toffee, and toasted malts. I got hints of caramel when tasting it. It was sweeter than I had it imagined it to be but overall I thought it was a good American take on a dunkel.

Tasted bottle, thanks to adnielsen. Pours a reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, biscuit, and toasted malts. Biscuit and caramel flavors. I think it’s a pretty good American version of a dunkel, although doesn’t quite live up to German dunkels.

Dark brown with ruby highlights and a big puffy tan head. Aroma of caramel, bread and light hops. Taste is a bit sweet and malty with a mild hop presence. Medium body and smooth carbonation. Nice. And it came in a glass boot at the wapiti pub in Estes park! Woohoo!
