3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Taste is chocolate, some belgian twang and a touch of smoke. Body is smooth but watery in the mouth, although finish is dry. Almost portery body. Grimross still needs some tweaking in the body, but the taste is there.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle [750ml] shared with and c/o jercraigs & mabel. Pours black with a spare frothy light-brown head. Aroma is sour and roasty along with spices & herbs, alcohol, dark fruit and yeast. Flavour follows the aroma but is slightly watery. Finish is somewhat alcoholic and spicy. Average bodied. Disappointing, it’s a mess and doesn’t work.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2013-08-23. Black body with a nice large tan head. 3+ Aroma is interesting, musty dusty malt, tangy accents. Touch of fruit? Apricot? Flavour of dry and tangy malt, mild roast throughout. Lingering sour tangy dark malt. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3+ I only got this from the brewery about three weeks ago so I assume this is how they intended it, but the flavours seem to clash a bit so it never quite comes together. Just okay. Tough to drink in quantity. Flip Top 750ml growler from the brewery, Fredericton.

750ml growler. Super dark, almost no light gets through, very mocha little head. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla and Belgian yeast aromas. Taste is chocolate, some belgian twang and a touch of smoke. Body is smooth but watery in the mouth, although finish is dry. Almost portery body. Grimross still needs some tweaking in the body, but the taste is there.
