2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Covfest ’08. Gold with white halo. Some hop mustiness in the nose. Slight and distant. Sad and tired English hops attempting citrus? A late flourish of corn. Inoffensive but really dull. Sorry, Keith.

Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Pale straw with slight head. Thin dry bitter with very little character to grab hold of. Some lightly boiled vegetable notes rather than hop impact. Not great.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A lacy white head lasts over the clear light golden body. Annoyingly vegetal nose reminds of celery salt combined with its strong mineral backbone. Simplistic floral hop profile. Light-bodied, comfortable and easy-drinking, growing more of a bite in the finish where a certain zesty feel can be noticed, but its malts are timid all along and while it is fresh, the hops don’t really fit with the saltiness.
