COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grisette Blanche belongs to the rich family of Belgian white beers. It is therefore very refreshing in summer. However, it remains a full-bodied, savoury beer offering lots of contrast. Its head is typical of wheaty beers - creamy and compact - with an opaque, hazy appearance

Small bottle, 25 cl. Hazy pale yellow , with a white head. Koriander spiciness coming first, with notes of citrus and a lemony. Light spicy flavors, a smooth mountfeel. Not bad for a witbier.

Pale gold, fully cloudy. The head is white, mostly lasting. Soft spiciness (coriander) joins the yeasty, wheaty nose where the basic ingredients stand in line. A decent cerealic background offers its support to the crispier wheatiness. Remaining on the edged between sweet and dry all through. Eventually developping mild fruity undertones reminiscent of orange tea and lime, but remaining highly docile. Light bodied, moderately high belgian carbonation. A simplistic witbier which does its refreshing work adequately, but does not bother with going further or with any complexity.

Bottle (25 cl) at Duvel Cafe Sthlm. Expiry date 2003... Sampled in late 2006, guess that made it at least 3-6 years old.. Huge flaky yeast chunks floating around. The aroma was really incredible.. tea, peaches atop the typical wit-profile.. What really amazed me were the tea-notes that I’ve never found in other wits. The palate is rich (for a wit) and dry. Incredible, guess I must start storing my other wits beyond their expiry date..

Bottle. Hazy pale blond body topped with an average white foamy head. Enjoyable malty/yeasty aroma with citrusy notes. Unfortunately, taste is rather thin and lacks complexity. Ends with a short bittersweet finish. Refreshing, but lacks punch.

Bottled. Yellow coluored. Unclear. Dense white head. Sweet, spiced and yeasty aroma. Flavour is a bit bland. Light spiced, light yeasty and some vague fruity notes. DRY and thin. Fruity end. Dies quickly on the palate.

CapFlu (3767) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 16, 2006
(25cl bottle) Purchased through the Bieropholie/SAQ imports. Pours a cloudy, white foamy head which lasts. A cloudy yellow body emits a mild marshmellow and buttery aroma. Flavour is citrus with a milky wet yeast. Below average.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2008 Very cloudy yellow, many particles, very small white head. Fruity aroma. Taste is citrusy, a bit yeasty, some apples. Nice astringency with a lively carbonation. Short finish. A solid but conventional witbier. Would require something to make it stand out of the packs (spices, hops, something). Only the tiny 25cl bottle with tiny birdy logo sets it apart… by making it look so very gay…

25 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Yeast at the bottom. Cloudy yellow colour with a small head. Nice aroma of citrus, coriander, yeast and little sour too. Light flavour of citrus, pomerans yeast and ends up quite dry. An okey wit beer but nothing overwelming.
