Grisette Blanche belongs to the rich family of Belgian white beers. It is therefore very refreshing in summer. However, it remains a full-bodied, savoury beer offering lots of contrast. Its head is typical of wheaty beers - creamy and compact - with an opaque, hazy appearance

Hazy yellow golden colour with small white head. Sweetish aroma with wheat, raisins, coriander, orange, yeast and citrus. Flavour is more sour with wheat, citrus, yeast and flour. Drinkable and easy Witbier.

Draft sample from Académie De La Bière. Pale yellow with haze and strong carbonation. Aromas are of orange, wheat, and mild coriander. Fairly subdude in the mouth, but the typical witbier coriander/citrus/wheat combo is still qutie apparent. Light bodied. A bit sucked out, but fairly well balanced. One could do much worse.

Bottle 25 cl from Boissons Center in Champagny-sur-Yverdon (CH). Hazy pale blonde, thin white head and good fizz. Nose of spice and fruity wheat, coriander and lemon grass. Spicy taste, touch lactic, a littlt bit prickly and tangy. It evolves towards citrus fruits with the drought, but refreshing.

Pours a very hazy dark golden ripe banana yellow color that is pretty much comPletely opaque with a thin off white foam head that quickly fades leaving no lacing. Bready yeast aroma with subtle zesty spice hints as well as some citrus fruit. There’s a little bit of pepper and corriander along with subtle banana and orange peel. The nose is kind of bland really. Medium bodied and a lot fuller than I expected which was peasant with some soft carbonation up front giving way to a bready/yeasty body with lots of zesty spice and sweet fruit. Lots of corriander and subtle spice that adds a bit of complexity that lasts throughout, lingering over hints of clove, banana and orange peel. After the appearance and aroma I wasn’t expectng much but this beer tasted pretty good.

The bottle looks simple, the beer in the glass not very zippy, strange brownish head. Starts mild, modest sourish, notes of lemon. Finish more and more dry and floury. Nothing special!

Draft at Birrerria Paradiso, sodl as St. Fueillien Blanche. Cloudy and hazy, almost opaque tan. Vanilla-wheat aroma. Big foamy head. Creamy and yeasty, with some vanilla and lemony wheat tastes. Light citrus, very smooth and refreshing...and quite fresh. A touch fuller and thicker than a typical Wit. Well done, nice depth.

On tap at Sunset Grill. Pours a cloudy light yellow with a white head. Aroma of light yeast and bready malt and sweet fruit. Flavor of mint gumdrops, sweet bready yeast. Decent beer. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)
