Grisette Cerise, a light top-fermented malt and wheat beer, is lively, refreshing and delicately fragranced. This ruby red delight rich in natural fruit juices has a sweet yet slightly tart taste enhanced by a smooth blend of the delicate beer and cherry favors.

bottle @ home, from hemköp. Pours a cloudy red colored liquid with a minimal pink head. Sweet candy aroma of aritfical cherries, beet sugar, perfume, hints of hay. Cloyingly sweet taste initally. Slightly sour with cherries, wheat, red apples. More pleasant quite dry finish with lingering cherries.

Bottle at Brežiški Festival Piva. Pours a clear ruby red color, topped with a quite big white head with some pink undertone. Very syrupy cherry aroma, but so nice and pleasant. Delicious. Taste is sweet, fruity with a very mild soury feel (cherries of course) but otherwise very juicy. Less soury and more juicy than some other cherry beers, and very enjoyable.

Bottle from ICA at Värtahamnen in Stockholm. Smell of cherries and almonds. Sweet and fruity taset with cherries and almonds. This kind of fruit beer is a guilty pleasure of mine. Allot of flavour considering the ABV. Not the best fruit beer I’ve had though.

250ml bottle. Hazy red color. Looks like cranberry juice. Small size, pinkish head, stays. Fruity, bit plastic, faint paper, sweet, perfume in aroma. Sweet, cherry, metallic, sugar water in taste. Cherry in aftertaste. This drink is too damn sweet!

0,25L bottle (from beerExpress). Pours red with light pink head. The head stays. Aroma is very sweet, cherries, almonds. Flavor is extremely sweet, almonds, cherries, some metallic notes. Overall: I like sweet beers, but this doesn’t feel like a beer, it’s just very sweet cherry-almond-sugar-water.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2015 Another ’witbier’-based sweet fruit beer, when are these abominations finally going extinct? Frothy, almost rocky, lacing, off-pinkish head over a misty ruby beer with somewhat ochre hue... Strong, simple aroma of cherry candy (’Mon Chéri’), overpowering (much) more subtle hints of artificial lemon juice, caramel, wheat, bubblegum, soap, cake and a vague sulphuric hint (burning rubber) gaining strength as it warms up - thus making it even less pleasant. Very sweet, sugary onset of the same cherry candy and cherry ’jenever’ without the alcohol, slight sourish touch not unlike a soda pop, with medium carbonation and obviously thin mouthfeel. Some caramelly malt sweetness and sourish (wheat) grains lie underneath, but the sweet and sugary cherry effect dominates the entire palate. Finish, if any, consists of lingering cherry sugar sweetness, cloying a bit along with the ascorbic acid effect of lemonade; no hops are discernible. Sweet in a sugary way and sourish in a lemonade-like way, but mostly sweet, and very straightforward. I now vividly remember how I grew to hate this type of ’beers’. Please do not consider this a gateway to ’real’ beers: this particular substyle is a dead end, nothing comes to any good after you have started to like this. Drain pour!
