Scintillating, fresh and delicately flavoured, Grisette Fruits des Bois is a light, refreshing beer that is brewed with the best malt and wheat. This blend creates a riot of sweet yet slightly bitter tastes redolent of wild berries and other exquisite fruits of the forest.

On tap at Moeder Lambic. Deep cloudy red pour with pink foam. Aroma is fruity, blueberry raspberry, really fruity, jam, a bit of rotten fruit. Taste is sweet, fruity, tropical fruit, lots of berries, kind of reminiscent of Timmermans woodvruchten. Palate is medium bodied. Not very good, but not as bad as the ratings.

Leichter DMS-Geruch, der aber auch von den Waldfrüchten kommen kann. Im Geschmack dann eine seltsame Restsüße. Süßstoff? Leicht astringieren

Bottle. Cloudy purple. Stinky, a little barf aroma, sweet taste with some pickle juice sourness. Med. body, sleek, mildly carbonated, sweet, candy finish.

Draught @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. 3.9.2012.
Hazy deep red beer with reddish white frothy head. Actually quite malty aroma with lots of raspberries and blueberries. Flavour is really sweet with lots of berries as well. Actually not bad if you can tolerate the sweetness.

A little barnyard aroma, some sour notes and then...nothing. Ok, I'll have another zip - must just be dry. Nope - nothing. This beer tastes like nothing. Nothing good, nothing bad - just nothing. As much as I've had beer far more terrible, zero taste equals zero taste score. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours in amber red body with low foam. Aroma is overly sweet, syrupy, cherry with wood notes. Taste is sugar all the way, no bitterness. Ugly balance. Body is full with low carbonation.

17/XI/13 - on tap @ Horeca Expo (Gent) - BB: n/a (2013-1080)

Clear bright deep ruby red beer, creamy light pink head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: vegetables, rhubarb, cooked beets or something like that, very peculiar and weird. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: raspberries all the way! Sweet, yet pretty sour as well, sugary, but not cloying, mainly just raspberry jam. Aftertaste: lots of raspberry jam again, bit sweet, also citric acidity, bit metallic. Tasted this on tap at Horeca expo and thought it was very decent, but then later on I tried a bottle at home, and I was not at all impressed. Oh well...
