Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 6, 2003 Very dark brown. Nutty, cocoa-ish aroma. Palate is dryish, with notes of almonds, cocoa and cherry lozenges. It works ok. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 09/01/1995

argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA May 24, 2005 (12oz bottle, best before 6/05) Big beige head atop a brown-black body. Aroma is medium sweet, roasty, nutty, light caramel. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, chocolate, very light coffee and caramel. Finish has mild herbal bitterness. Light-medium body with light acidity. CaptainCougar (4637), Rockville, Maryland, USA Feb 24, 2005 Dark, nearly opaque brownish black with a thin, light tan head. Aroma is slightly roasted and burnt with a touch of dark chocolate. Mildly sweet body has a touch too much CO2 with a thin, dry, bitter dark chocolate finish. A decent stout, but could use a little more body. hopdog (4564), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 20, 2006 12oz bottle. Bottle marked best before May ’06 (and I just bought it). Poured a dark, dark brown color with a huge, huge tan head. Aromas of strong roast, chocolate and light coffee. Tastes of roast, chocolate, with a bitter coffee / espresso finish. Thinner body.
