tap at Portland location - Pours medium brown in color and has an assertive toasted caramel aroma. The flavor is similar with mild hops in the finish of the light to medium bodied brew. Good.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours brown with a thick, cream-colored head. Aroma of toasted malts, a little caramel, and some light hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer.

This is a generally good, medium bodied beer, but nothing special. It has a mild aroma with hints of caramel. The appearance is clean and clear, though a little darker than I was expecting. There was only minimal head. The taste was well balanced with a hint of sweetness and almost no hoppiness at all.

Tap at the brewery. Very nice. Aromas of nuts and caramel. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and good length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a thin head.

Clear golden amber with a big white head, fades quickly, nice lacing... Aroma of caramel malts, a little smoky, really malty in a generic way... A very little smoke, sweet malts, not at all hoppy, generic taste... Very lively, medium bodied, a little slick/oily.. Average at best...
