On tap at the brewpub. A deep amber colored beer, clear beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is quite cellar-ish, with dusty malts, bread and some caramel. The flavor is pretty much the same, but with a touch fruits. Medium body, very smooth on the palate, quite dry. Malty finish. Rather boring for a brown ale, easy drinkable though. 150609

Pours hazy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with along malty and caramel finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Bottle from a friend from notes. Pours a dark amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor had toasted malts, caramel, earthy hops, not much else, very forgettable.

Pours brown with a small tan head. Nutty caramel malt aroma. Taste is on the sweet side. Medium body, mild carbonation. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle (Old Notes-Best Brown Brewed by Gritty McDuff’s)-Pours a dark amber almost brown with a small head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste of the same but very weak. This light bodied brew is really not that good

Clear dark amber with a small ivory head, a few dots of lace. Taste is mostly caramel malt with minimal bittering in the finish. Pretty standard, and somehow a little dull. Not bad, just not good.

Reddish brown color with no head retention. Lacks the malty taste you’d expect from a brown ale. Very little flavor overall. Big disappointment.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a thin tan head. Molasses aroma. One of my favorite styles and one of my favorite breweries. Full bodied, a bit or raisin flavor. While being full bodied, it goes down easy and has a bit of a hop finish for a good balanced brown ale.

Moderate malt aroma. Clear amber color with a medium off white head. Very light bitter beginning with a sweet malt finish.
