Reddish brown color with no head retention. Lacks the malty taste you’d expect from a brown ale. Very little flavor overall. Big disappointment.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a thin tan head. Molasses aroma. One of my favorite styles and one of my favorite breweries. Full bodied, a bit or raisin flavor. While being full bodied, it goes down easy and has a bit of a hop finish for a good balanced brown ale.

12oz into a pint. Pours a caramel brown shaded picture, taste is light caramel, browned malts, chewy and dry granola, and no real hop presence. A sub par brown here with nothing particuarlly outstanding. I dont know much about htis lions head thing, only the happy grittys guy on the best brown label. At least hes happy about the brown.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle dated April 2012. The pour is dark amber with no head. On the nose there are malts, nuts, and a slight hop character that feels clean and crisp. The body is a little under medium. The taste has a solid nutty bitterness with a dry finale.

Clear dark amber with a small ivory head, a few dots of lace. Taste is mostly caramel malt with minimal bittering in the finish. Pretty standard, and somehow a little dull. Not bad, just not good.

Amber color with white head. Caramel nutty aroma. Caramel nutty flavor with roasted notes and slight hop finish.

This pretty much blows as a brown. Pours a light brown with a small off white top. Aroma is faint nut and toasted malts. Taste is non offending but extremely boring. Blitzed through these fast.

355ml bottle. Pretty average brown. Slightly malty, earthy and metallic. Medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
