COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Original Pub Style is a light copper-colored medium-bodied with a nice dry bite at the finish. A subtle combination of Cascade and Willamette hops give this ale a fine floral aroma and a slightly fruity aftertaste. The taste captures the freshness of a hand-crafted brew pub ale that goes right from the conditioning tank to your glass!

Note: Bottled version is contract-brewed by Shipyard.

Bottle from Epsom Circle Market. Aroma is strong initially of sparkling wine, then yields to bready malt. Appearance is beautiful clear sparkling gold with thick creamy white head with good retention and light but attractive lacing. Taste is straight up the middle medium to heavy sweet malt--a little strong, even for my taste. Palate is extremely thin, light body with surprisingly little carbonation given the amount of sparkling. Abrupt dry finish. Overall, this is a very attractive looking beer that has a fairly strong aroma without complexity, is overly sweet and has nothing to offer the palate. Not even really a great session beer.

Bottle from a friend from notes. Pours a clear dark golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted malts, bready, grass, orange citrus, mild bitterness, very basic pale ale.

Draft at the brewpub in Freeport. Clear copper. Floral, fruity, dry, red apple, clean dry bite on the finish. Ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Part of their mixed pack on my trip to Maine. Pours a very slight hazy golden colour with a frothy warm cap and decent foamy-creamy lace. Diacetyl aromas with butter and butterscotch. Milder caramel malt taste with hints of grains in the finish and light hops. Some sweetness, some bitterness, but nothing really good as a little too rich for a good pale ale.

Bottle, 12 oz, at Stephanie’s on Newbury, Boston, MA. OK pale ale, had this with meat loaf and mashed potatoes.

Pours cloudy golden with medium white head. Aromas are cereals, grass and some light citrus. Light dry finish. Bit that hoppy but quite drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, screw-top. Nose is sweet and unclean, strong sugary character with some lemon and grain. Clear golden body leaning orange with above-average carbonation and a sudsy beige head. Watery body actually pretty dry with some mild bitterness and grain, and again, dirty, but not off-putting. Some mild citrus and grass, malt is thin and weak. Still, on the whole, something I’d be happy to toss back over the course of a few hours, a single APA with straightforward character.

22 oz bottle. Cloudy orange color with a fluffy head. Looks gorgeous in the glass. This is characterized as a pale ale, but it's not hoppy or bitter enough for my taste. In fact, it's almost sweet. OK I guess for those cool summer evenings on the deck in Maine, but I'm not sure I'd order it after a cold day of lumberjacking. Anyway I'm a city boy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught: This one pours a clear, golden color. It had a wisp of a white head on it that left a little lacing. The aroma is a bit lighter. Some malts, as well as grassy and earthy hop notes. The taste is clean, and leans towards the lighter side. Some malts, and a little earthy hops. A slightly dry finish. Pretty easy drinking.
