Draft - Rich roasted malts. Copper with a decent off white head. Malty and sticky sweet, some dark fruit but would do nice with some bitterness.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nice deep ruby red/copper colour. Head settles to a white ring. Aroma is sweet malt, fruit, candy. Medium-light mouth-feel, not a lot of body. Not malt driven and it’s not hop driven. Starts like it smells, sweet malts and some caramel but just gets watery from then on. A hint of bitterness or just alcohol, which is odd for a %5 beer.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours an amber red with a tiny bit of white head that dissipates quickly. Smell is quite weak with only a hint of caramel sweetness. Palate is medium bodied with fairly strong carbonation. Taste is a bit sweet at first with a nice counterbalance of bitterness, but then it all sort of drops off and there’s no real aftertaste. Average on all counts.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On draft at the brewpub. Pale amber in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of caramel and pale malts, along with a bit of toast. Pretty much the same profile in the mouth as well, albeit with the toasted note coming through a little more. Medium to light bodied and clean finishing. A basic red ale, but fairly satisfying.
