***review from Dec 2006***

Mostly consumed in the brewpub. Got a glass full of orangy amber beer with a skiff of white head that refused to stick to the glass. Aroma was interesting to say the least. Odd, strange malts or something....cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, old oranges, wet cigarettes and poutine - mainly cause I was hunched over a giant pile of it after an intense caving trip, covered in mud at the bar....Taste was not great but not strong enough to give me a headache. Malts, citrus, ginger, yeast. , wood and more wet cigarettes. Mouthfeel was ick. A strong unpleasant remnant of the pint remained onthe roof of my mouth. Had a somewhat dry finish. There was so much more about this beer, but I couldn’t figure it out, plus, it was vile enough where I wasn’t going to order another. This stuff is just bizarre. If you are in Canmore during this winter, give this a go as I have no idea what was actually in that glass. How does one rate something that doesn’t seem to conform to anything?
