Probably GPs best offering. Pours dark brown or black. Smells of deep coffee, slight chocolate, and some dirt. Taste is a nice balance of rich mocha and hops. Pretty robust. This is my go to when we eat here. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Robust chocolate and roosted malt aroma. Black with a small tan head. Very thin and disappointing. Bland. Water roasted flavor.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a very deep brown, mostly black colored body with an inch thick, dense and rocky, creamy head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is caramel and toffee with darker chocolates, some mocha, and vanilla alongside an event roast. Flavor is similar. Mocha and caramel up front with some darker chocolates and more of an even roast. Finishes somewhat bitter from the mochas and mostly dry with just a touch of sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid porter. Leans more towards the mocha, but there is a decent caramel, chocolate, and roast in there as well. Easy drinking, straightforward, and enjoyable enough.

tap at the brewpub - Pours very dark brown with a creamy, light tan head. It smells of roast malt and mocha. The flavor is sweet with roast malt and chocolate. This medium to full bodied brew has a lingering roast finish. Good. Not great.

Ruby notes. Really great sweet toasty notes. Cocoa and a bit of toffee. Best beer so far here.

Drank at the brewpub as part of the sampler...A medium brown pour with light tan head...The aroma is nice, tons of super sweet chocolate a little bitterness but not a ton...The taste again is pretty sweet, not badly balanced. The feel is pretty light, but makes it pretty easy to drink. One of the better Grizzly beers.

Bottle. Poured black with a lasting light gray brown head. Aroma was full of roasted malts with backing chocolate and a hint of hop bitterness. Flavor was similar with roasted malts a bitter chocolate throughout with a bit of hop backing. Solid but not by any means complex.
