nitro tap at the brewpub - Pours black with a tan head and heavy lacing. It smells of roast malt and coffee. The flavor is of dry roast malt with some hops bitterness and a slight hint of chocolate and coffee. It’s medium bodied at most, kind of light, and overall pretty good.

Take the porter, dry it out a touch, add a bit of anise and up the hops. Good beer, but not quite as good as the porter.

Drank at the brew pub as a part of the sampler...This was the highlight of the sampler...Pours a light black with a really good creamy and think light tan head, superb lacing...The aroma and taste both have some nice malts, chocolate, a little coffee, a nice dry finish.
Super fun and easy to drink

Nitro… RBSG 2010… Pours black with a mid-sized, creamy, khaki head. Fantastic retention. Nutty, chocolaty nose. Light to medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and placid carbonation. The flavor, for the most part, is nondescript. A little sweetness and a touch of roastiness, but nothing I can really wrap my taste buds around. A smidge of roastiness and a rumor of acidity in the finish.

This poured a black color with a large thick nitro beige head. Aroma was almost none existent, but could pick out some dry roasted notes. Flavor was very dry and roasted, basically no sweetness at all. An OK dry stout.
