This is one helluva fruit beer. I had this at the Michigan Beer Fest, where it was proudly labelled as "Hawaii 5-0 Cask". 5 Tropical fruits added. Cloudy, light brown color in the glass with no head. The smell was excellent and reminded me a fruit basket. I have to tag it on mouthfeel and drinkability as I don't think you could drink more than one at a time and the mouthfeel was if I had fruit in my mouth with beer. It was stange. Overall, though, it is an interesting beer.
GregClow (2351), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 27, 2003 MIBG Fest: This was the one beer that made everyone in the RateBeer group at the fest go "WTF???". The sign at the Grizzly Peak booth didnt give any information about the beer except to say that it was cask conditioned. It poured an ugly cloudy yellow-brown, not unlike unfiltered apple juice. The aroma and flavour included grapefruit, papaya, pineapple and mango, so I can only assume that they were used in the brewing process, making this a fruit beer. It's like tropical punch in beer form - and oddly, it didn't completely suck! I don't know if I'd try it again, but they get points just for having the balls to try something so completely out there.
