3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 StefanSD (1586) - Lakeside, USA - JUL 25, 2010
3 oz taster cup at the Michigan Beer Fest in Ypsilanti 2010. Trapped in a tent in a thunderstorm I sampled the closest IPA with no line and it was this one. Amber pour with a small white head. Aroma was light pine and some biter soap. Taste was overtly biter with more soap and some caramel. Palate was medium with lively carbonation. Finished long and lightly biter. Overall: Not bad, but not great.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 aracauna (2691) - Georgia, USA - JUN 16, 2011
Honestly, the pale ale was hopper, although this is drier. Perhaps a touch of diacetyl.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 prosqtor (408) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 10, 2007
This beer would rate a lot higher if I could’ve poured one without 6 inches of head. From the bottle. Brother of ProsQtor brought these from Detroit, so maybe they got shaken, but it was the same story the next day too.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 14/20 11026 (1772) - Alabama, USA - FEB 18, 2005
Nitro tap. Lighter amber colored. Lon lived hkake head. Thich creamy lacing. Flowery and lightly citric aroma of hops. Creamy mouthfeel. Initial flavors of sweet malt and then a long lastin hop bitter finish. Well crafted IPA but would do better on a regular tap.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - FEB 11, 2005
Nitro draft. Amber with a creamy nitro head. Lighly nutty sweet and savory (butter) aroma. Lighly piney and bready flavor. Nitro as usually ruins the palate soft and watery. Remove the nitro pour and this beer would be a pretty good IPA/.
