3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Glouglouburp (4783) - Montreal, - JUL 9, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2008 In short: A spicy Saison with a nice barnyard undertone
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Almost clear golden copper body with a small off-white head
In long: Nose has a spiciness reminding me of some Chinese dishes with pepper, cloves, ginger and some other herbs. In mouth a dirty, dusty semi-wild character comes through providing a nice coutryside/barnyard flavour profile. Basic fruity notes but one is mainly about the wild offbeat yeast and spiciness. Carbonation is very lively, even by Belgian Ales standards. I liked the Farmer’s Daughter because I’m the type who like it wild and a bit dirty. Oh, and I liked this beer too.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dickinsonbeer (5075) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 1, 2010
GABF 2009. Pours a light copper with a thin white head. Aroma is woody, earth, moderate funk and a lot of spices and phenols- mint, pine spruce and citrus. Moderate toasted malts, light bread, ok carapils sweetness, then horsefunk, brett, woody barrel, earth, moderate burnt toast, citrus, spruce and pine needle mintiness- quick medicinal note, and a prickly finish. Ok.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 DaSilky1 (2575) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 2, 2009
GABF 2009: Cloudy dull orange, no head save a thin halo clinging to glass’ edge. The Nose was like a wad of chewed mint gum found under a elementary school desk...minty and stale. Flavors were yeast and minty and atop a pretty wet mouthfeel. This beer is just too herbal and minty and wet. Its certainly not enjoyable. Why would you want to bring this to GABF? No, seriously...I seriously think people in the midwest are retarded. especially brewers.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 auerbrau (2668) - Peace Dale, Rhode Island, USA - MAY 9, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clouded deep orange, amber-tinted. A rim of white rides above. Aroma comes with a tang of dirty house yeast. Flavor brings some pepper thinness and a some yeast. Kind of bland really. Some pale sugars, yeast esters, light fruit and carbonation. Not offensive, but not exciting. An interestingly strong up glow brings up the backend. This isn’t heinous, it just isn’t that great. The house yeast is being dirty and affects the overall score of this beer. Dry, in the end.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Styles (2014) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - DEC 26, 2007
7-22-06 MBG. Hazy copper with huge white head. Aroma is dominated by licorice, anise? not sure. Flavor follows in the same, all licorice, becomes overbearing. Palate/mouthfeel soft and billowy.
