3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Silphium (2718) - East Lansing, USA - JAN 29, 2006
Clearish amber body, medium off-white head. Hoppy grapefruit-and-pine aroma, bready, and a bit soapy. Soapy light biscuity body with a touch of caramel and strong grapefruity hops. Medium-bodied. An average beer, but not too bad.

tap at the brewpub - Pours copper orange with an off white head and good lacing. It smells mainly of caramel much like the red ale. The flavor is mildly bitter with a hint of citrus and ample sweet caramel malt. It finishes mildly bitter. Decent.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 jrallen34 (3445) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 28, 2011
I had this on tap as part of a sampler at the brew pub. This was one of the highlights of the sampler, which wasn’t saying a ton...Pours a copper gold with a little head...The aroma is really nice and balanced, very nice caramel on the front with grassy hops, its nice but a little too sweet...The taste is really nice because it losses a lot of the sweetness so its even more balanced the aroma as the caramel and grass play really nice off each other. A really nice dry grassy finish.
One of the only beers worth getting at Grizzly.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 deyholla (3533) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 5, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear deep amber with a white head that dissipated slowly and laced nicely. Aroma had mainly citrus notes with a bit of backing pine and bread. Flavor was more malty with the citrus becoming a background, a bit more pine in the finish, and bread and grains throughout.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rcasta (721) - EL SALVADOR - JUN 2, 2010
@ the grizzly peak en ann arbor. Que putas hago aqui? Buena pregunta. El lugar esta bueno, la comida espectacar. Si hubiera tenido esto en college hubiera sufrido El Toror y sus big beers. Esta muy floral para mi gusto - ideal para ramenend

This poured a clear amber color with a white head. Aroma was of light bittering hops and citrus hops as well. Flavor was a nice balance of light malt along with a nice cascade hop flavor. Decent hop flavor but not very bitter and a bit hollow too.
