muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Sep 17, 2006 Cask sample (yes, a cask fruit beer I s**t you not) at the brewpub, early August 2006. Translucent yeasty gold with a lasting modicum of foam, fair lacing....peach, banana and clove are all well represented in the nicely balanced aroma, sour wheat undercurrent is always there and just a hint of caramel....lively, lightly carbonated mouthfeel with ripe fruit present throughout, a growing sour/tartness towards the finish, not at all over-sweet and really an excellent example of how to integrate fruit into this style. Probably my favorite sample from this visit, believe it or not.
