3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dutchtuga (71) - Amsterdam, - NOV 5, 2012With Amstel the best bock beer from the big dutch brands. This one is sweeter than average, but drinks very well. Nice taste of caramel, raisins, cereal and coffee.

Well, at least its better than the spring bock. This one is mahogany colored, has a nice thick head, a nutty aroma and a sweetish caramelly flavor.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 Cantabrian (384) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 23, 2012
In short, this was no good. Too sweet, too watery, not the best example for a bock.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 jmgreenuk (1288) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 13, 2012
Bottle from Albert Heijn. Poured a clear reddish brown colour with a thin and rapidly disappearing white head. The flavour is rather distinctive and somewhat sweet with raisins and malt and a slightly bitter aftertaste. It’s an ok Bok bier with some flavour. Not a classic and maybe too sweet for some but hardly deserving of some of the ultra low ratings I see here. I can’t say it would be my first choice upon walking into a bar, but if I had to drink it all night it wouldn’t kill me either :-)
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 McTapps (1490) - Ruhrgebiet, GERMANY - DEC 13, 2012
Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Deep dark brown colour with good and steady head. Taste of strong Bockbeer, roasted grains, burnt caramel and overripe nuts.Okay to drink but nothing special.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 MichaelBruch (1489) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - DEC 12, 2012
Can shared with McTapps. The few last from Grolsch were all disappointments. And this one was no surprise then. Pouring in a nice ligt brown colour the tough bock was from first to last in your nose. A bit malt maybe in the aroma aswell some nuts. But alcohol dominated this one all along. Therefore no higher points from me.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Imaena (846) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - DEC 10, 2012
Amsterdam. For a macro dunkler this is pretty nice. On a rainy november day it can help shake the cold from your bones.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 kaziopiwosz (250) - Warszawa / Wałbrzych, POLAND - NOV 5, 2012
Raisins taste with caramel palate. Good balanced sweet nutes in palate and some bitter nutes makes this beer really interesting. White foam, disappearing very fast. Dark-cherry colour. Overall, good beer.
