Raisins taste with caramel palate. Good balanced sweet nutes in palate and some bitter nutes makes this beer really interesting. White foam, disappearing very fast. Dark-cherry colour. Overall, good beer.

Caramel aroma. Sweet taste with a little bitterness after taste. Better than the gerijpte version, which is too sweet.

Kasztanowe piwo z cienką pianą. W smaku słodowe, lekko słodkawe, trochę karmelowe z nutą suszonych owoców i palonym, lekko goryczkowym finiszem.

30cl bottle at home. Dark brown with a small somewhat off-white head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Very sweet with subtle bitter tones. Caramel, brown sugar, raisin, malts and ripe fruits. Way too sweet, didn’t finish the bottle.

The beer is beautiful. The color is very dark, without proper light you can’t see trough it. The beer has a reddish glow and with good light you can see the dark ruby red color. The beer is perfectly clear. On top of the beer there is a soft creamy layer of dark almond colored foam. The bulk of the foam collages, but luckily a thin soft drape of foam remains. The beer has a delicious smell. The smell is very sweet. I smell a rich alcohol aroma. The aroma is very fruity. I smell red forrest fruits, a little oaky aroma, some roasted barley and of course sweet caramel and syrup aroma’s. The smell really makes my day. There is also a familiar sharp aroma. I don’t know really what it is. It is a little spicy, and very nice. It is an aroma many aged beers have. The taste of the beer is great. The beer is sweet and warming, perfect on a cold autumn sunday, after a nice little road trip. The beer has some nice sweet fruity flavors. Als the alcohol taste present. There are also some dark roast flavors, and some sweet syrup and karamel flavors. The beer is better than I could ever imagine. Chapeau.

[9/22/15] Bottle at Asia’s place in Amsterdam. Clear amber-brown. Aroma of malt, caramel, dark bread, a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor, very caramelly, with a bit of toast, and a bitterish finish with a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied, a bit sticky.

Zeker een lekker biertje minder zoet als de normale grolsch herfstbok maar nog steeds redelijk zoet
