Complete clear golden coloured beer, white creamy head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: candi sugar, alcohol, overripe fruits, dirty malts. They get 2 instead of 1, because in some way you can smell there is malts in there, even if it’s disgusting ones. MF: ok carbon, thin body, alcohol very present in the throat. Taste: what taste?? Little bitter, alcohol, sugar. Label says: "Rijk en Krachtig van Smaak" (rich and powerfull taste). Now there’s a lie if I ever heard one. Aftertaste: more alcohol and sugar. Man, who ever drinks this crap?

Better than the regular Grolsch and it has a lot to do with the more roasty aroma. The Alcohol takes up most of the attention but is a nice add on to the bitter standard of Grolsch.

Mild fusel aroma with a toasted corn sweetness. Taste seems like it could easily be the base grolsch "grain" bill doubled, with mild roast , slightly grainy astringency and alcohol less apparent than I expected from a big eurolager. €2

Goldene Färbung, jedoch kein ausdauernder Schaum. Geruch süßlich-karamellig. Der Antrunk gestaltet sich malzig-weich. Im Mittelteil ist eine entfernte Herbe zu erahnen, die rasch im Alkohol untergeht. Pfeffriger und langanhaltender Alkoholabgang.
Junge, Junge. Die 11,6% hauen beim Grolsch Kanon so richtig durch. Es hat jedoch genug Körper und Komplexität um das zu kompesieren. 1 Bier für die Bettschwere. Test vom 7.4.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Can 50cl. Golden clear filtered brew. Small quickly disappearing head. Nutty taste, strage combination. Strong alcoholic burning.

Für fast 12% ist das Bier dann doch mild, zumindest der Antrunk ist nicht weiter erwähnenswert. Alkoholischer Mittelteil, der mit leicht würziger aber nur wenig süßer Note aufwarten kann. Hier ist der kratzende Alkohol etwas störend, erst im Nachgeschmack hat sich dies etwas beruhigt, hier ist das Bier wieder süßer. Schwer einzuordnen, komisches Getränk.

yellow beer, with a bit of orange mixed in, it’s head evaporates almost imediately after pouring.... aroma is simple, some sweet malts and lots of alchohol.... taste is very very sweet, in a bad way... the malts are completely drowned in the sweetness, so is the alchohol, which reappears in the finish a bit... finish is pretty warming, but far too sweet, although there is some bitterness at the end of it, and it’t pretty long too... tastes like shit, but it is not undrinkable

Very slightly hazy gold beer. Soft palate. Low carbonation. Rich malt, sweet and strong with an unsurprising brandy - cognac like undertone. Somewhat one dimensional but for a super strong lager - quite quaffable!
