Pours clear amber with a huge white head leaving plenty of lacing. Aroma is malty, sweet, bready, slightly caramel & biscuit, fruity and alcohol. Flavor is sweet, alcohol, caramel, very fruity, raisins and dried fruits. I liked this one. Lean alcoholic palate. Finishes tart sweet with a burning alcohol touch.

Poured clear golden in colour with foamy white head. Fruity and metallic in aroma. Flavour sweet and malty. Apparantely quite high in abv, but not in a disturbing way.

Bottle at home. Clear yellow beer with a white head. Aroma heavy alcohol, moderate malty. Flavor heavy sweet, lots of alcohol (almost burning) and notes of peaches. Full body.

This beer... simply isn’t very good. I’ve had high alcohol beers that taste good, so it has nothing to do with the alcohol overwhelming the flavour.

erickok (802) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 15, 2011
Clear and brownish golden beer with minimal head. Very little carbonation - also very little aroma. Some cheesy yeast and some ripe fruit but that’s all I can get. Taste is overpowered by the alcohol. Only when you get accustomed to that you taste some sweet, sticky malts - prune maybe. Poor attempt at producing something strong. You can’t just up the alcohol and sugar!

Grima (1240) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 22, 2011
Strong golden yellow color with a good, high, long-lasting head. The smell is sweet malty and discreetly alcoholic. It starts malty and spicy, overall very complex and difficult to describe. A soft sweetness does indulge in the course. The aftertaste is alcoholic, and even a bit malty sweet.

intense aroma, sweet, alcohol like, amber colored, some carbonation, heavy body being not too bitter with a thick texture.
