3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Strong sweet fruity nose, fruit syrup, candy sugar, bubblegum, bit caramel, orange peel, citrus, herbs; clear amber, good frothy white head, stays a while, good lacing; smooth sweetbitter taste, coffee, roasted; creamy texture, full body, average carbonation; smooth bittersweet finish, alcohol. really don’t understand the bad ratings on this one, very acceptable strong beer from Grolsch.

This is stuff for the AA dudes. Sugary shit it is. The Grolsch lager beers are fine but this just stuff for the problem drinkers. That’s probably why it is sold as Maximator in Russia. Come on, everyone can make boozy pulp beer with mountains of sugar!

Out of a can. A goldy blonde colour. Just a rank smell of paint thinner. Taste is just as bad.

I’m very surprised by the fact that so many people don’t favor this beer. One of Grolsch’ best special beers. The taste and the aroma are great and also the appearance is beyond good. I respect everyone’s opinion but the rating 12 for this one is way too low, that looks at least a little bit suspicious.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a large creamy white head that mostly diminishes. Body is clear amber, sparkles are visible.
Aroma contains heavy malts (molasses, grain) and some hops (citrus fruits) together with alcohol.
Flavor is massive sweetnes and some bitter in the end.
Body is thin and watery. Carbonation is soft.
I used to like this, but that was before I knew better.

Purchased this from a supermarket in Landsmeer .Consumed this at Camping Het Rieven, Landsmeer, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Monday 30th September 2013 A big malty beer from Grolsch. Gold in colour with middling sparkling, heavy and more than a little syrupy in mouth. I bet this is the sort of beer that gets a massive slagging on ratebeer, however I have to say I really don’t mind it, also I am amazed at the abv, it drinks much easier than it should. Its a very one dimensional beer, malty, sweet and strong. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
