(bottle, traded with bierkoning – thanks!) Clear golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Sweet malty, slightly perfumed aroma with a touch of honey. Sweet flavour, medium body, smooth carbonated mouthfeel. Sweet malty taste with dense fruity notes of apples; sweet and slightly fruity and sugary finish with almost no bitterness to speak of. I´m not impressed.

Amber colour with a small no good white head. Aroma of malt and hops. Sweet taste of malt though the finish. Medium body. considered this is a grolsch, it is actually a good beer.

20 Jun 2005 - (Inge B&B, Haarlem) - Slight sweet hop malt aroma. Clear orange golden colour, low head and lacing. Sweet malt, a bit simplistic, with spiritous hop flavour. Sickly sweet hop lingering finish.

(Bottle 30 cl) Amber coloured and filtered with a thin yet somehow quite insisting head. Wonderful, malty nose. And the malt continues all the way through colliding with the hops in the finish. Distinct but not overpowering bitterness. Reminds me of some of the better, Danish Easter brews. 010799

Bitter malt aroma with not much else. Clear amber colour with poor head and lacing. Sweet malt flavour. Flat palate.

Bottle. Sweet flowery malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet malt flavor with slight tannic finish - improves the more you drink.

Bottle. Golden with small bubbly head. Malty-sweet, perhaps too sweet, cereals, grass, well-rounded and easy-drinking. Thanks Jbrus.

schuimkroaat (415) - Leuven, BELGIUM - APR 12, 2005
30 cl bottle, bbe Aug 05. Light amber, clear, weak head. Malty and cheesy aroma. A very unusual flavour mixing bread notes, sharp hoppiness, sticky maltiness and something undefinable. Complex, sweet, bitter and light acidic on the palate. Thus, tastes better than it either smells or looks like.

One of the brewer’s better beers but I’d rather be drinking something else. It poured a bronze colour with a slim, fleeting head. The aroma promises spiced peaches. The palate is syrupy and very smooth but with a decent alcoholic kick. Toffee notes and some honey. (Bottle)
