29/08/2011 30cl bottle @ home - BB: 24/3/12 (2011-414)

Clear orange beer, very small white head, unstable, non-adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, corn, some grassy hops, little fruity. MF: little carbon, medium body. Taste: sugar, sugar, some sugar, then sugar and in the end a little bit of hops. WTF. Very cloying, sticky mouthfeel. Aftertaste: you’ll never guess. Sugar. And some unpleasant bitter touch, like bitter almonds or peach pits.

On tap at a lovely restaurant near the park near the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam. Pours a rich gold with a foamy, white head. Sugar, grain and cereal on the nose. Sweet flavor, lots of grain and caramel, along with some light booze. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Light warm, grain and cereal, sugar, some fruit, honey and golden raisins. OK.

Golden, very clear body with a big firm and white head. Grainy, nutmeg, pilsner yeast. Not the fruits I expected. Very white-sugary sweet body. Far too sweet really. Light carbonation. Sweetness overpowers everything. Pass. (33cl bottle)
